Road not taken

The literal meaning of this poem by Robert Frost is that a traveler comes to a fork in the road and needs to decide which of the path to be selected out of 2 ways.

 After mental debate the traveler selects the road that is traveled least. The poem describes the tough choices people make undergoing any situations and finally they have to come out with a decision.

 The traveler was full of regret because he couldn’t travel both the roads. Right and wrong choice will have significant impact of his life

Ancient Mariner

The Rime of Ancient Mariner is the longest poem written by English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, written in 1797-98.

 The poem connects to the various events experienced by the mariner who has returned from a long sea voyage.

 The mariner describes how did he changed his route and joined a wedding and later went to Antarctica. According to the writer the best act is to praise God and all the beings in this world.

Origin of Algebra

Algebra is named after All Kharizimi’s book, Al Jabr wa al Muqabilah, which revolutionized mathematics.

 Kodak was the first company to create the digital camera, but back then most of its profits came from selling chemicals and they were reluctant to invest.

 Digital market was here to stay, it had overtaken film, and all Kodak’s competitors had far advanced digital cameras.

The youngest Microsoft certified, Arfa Karim passes away

Arfa fell badly ill last month and suffering from brain damage, idiopathic epilepsy seizures which led to brain damage leaving her in a coma at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Lahore. 

 

Upon finishing her course, Microsoft owner Bill Gates invited her to visit the company’s headquarters in the US. Arfa was studying at the Lahore Grammar School`s Paragon Campus for her A Levels.

Arfa emerged the youngest Microsoft professional after completing her MCP in 2004 at the age of only 9.

 She also received numerous awards and gold medals. She received the Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of science and technology in 2005, besides the Salaam Pakistan Youth Award.
