footprint is in Abu Dhabi. The Masdar City costing $18 billion, envisioned to
be a city with lowest carbon footprint in the world. The vision conceived by
Sir Norman Foster. The city includes
revolutionary buildings and commercial areas including conference centers. Madar Institute of Science and Technology provide
wide range of facilities to students, sustainable homes, forests and buildings,
solar technology, electric vehicles, organic foods and cafes. Recently, the
city won the Global Energy Efficiency Visionaries Award for achieving 50%
reduction in electricity an water consumption. It is a benchmark for other
projects.
