Thousands of people have been evacuated from Pakistan's Arabian coast amid warnings of a strong cyclone.
Families and fishermen were warned away from the sea off Karachi, although forecasts suggested the cyclone would not directly strike the port city.

The ferocity of the storm was unprecedented in recent memory.
Some of those who died were electrocuted as power lines fell onto flooded streets.
In the aftermath of the storm, people began to try to salvage their belongings, but many had little left after their flimsy homes were destroyed.
