Michael Jackson fans were promised an album full of previously unreleased tracks by his record company that has kept its promise and released the new single ‘Breaking News’ which will be part of ‘Posthumous’ – MJs album to be released mid December.
The track starts off with a few seconds of voice clippings, reporters eagerly giving news of latest controversies surrounding Michael Jackson, followed by the King of Pop defending himself, starting off with ‘Everybody wanting a piece of Michael Jackson. Reporters stalking the moves of Michael Jackson’.‘Breaking News’ has made waves with its release on 7th November.
The record label promised MJ fans a dance track and although they have delivered it on time, many are questioning the authenticity of this song. Agitated fans say that ‘Breaking News’ has been sung by an impersonator and the record label intentions are not to provide good music but to cash in on the success of their mentor.
Its not just the fans who remain uncon0vinced that this is an original track, Michael Jackson’s brother Tito Jackson wrote on Twitter "Deceptively merging shady vocals with MJ samples (from prior MJ records) will never fool me”. This is where controversy steps in – The Jackson family has been having conflicts with Sony Records over ‘Posthumous’ ever since MJs demise.
Are their claims of merged vocals being made to shatter the record labels credibility or are they true? Either way, Posthumous can easily be called the most awaited album of 2010; this one will be filled with great music and a whole lot of controversy to spice things up!
