Fertilized eggs are boiled just before they are due to hatch..so that yolk oozes out along with the foetus. They are cooked when the foetus is anywhere from 17 days to 21 days; depends on your preference. As the number of days increase the foetus starts to grow a beak, claw, bones and feathers.
