Cars with airbags are designed to protect the driver and passenger but now Volvo has launched a car that has airbags outside to protect the pedestrians during a collision. Volvo V40 made its first appearance at Geneva Motor Show.
When there is a collision, a section of bonnet near windscreen is lifted up by airbag that avoids damage to windscreen and pedestrian. Overall result is less damage to the car and least injuries to pedestrian.
